TONY HEX ZUNIGA

Namangka, sumakay ng kabayo namasahe sa bus...ito ayon sa aking mapaehimenasyong utak habang papunta sa bahay ni TONY "JONAH HEX" ZUNIGA, ang layu...mula bulacan hanggang alabang, parang tinawid ko ang magkabilang dulo...anyway...

PAgdating ko duon , minag-net kaagad ako dun sa garahean nila kung saan nanduon ang mga original artworks, lithos and komiks for sale na gawa mismo ni master.Parang bata na napunta sa toy kingdom ay ginalugad ko agad ang mga puwedeng bilhin na naayon sa aking "baon".

Nakadale ako ng LONEWOLF and CUB pero hindi ito gaya ng makapal na version parang newsprint lang pero may cover ni zienkewics (tama ba?) anyway kasama yung iba pa, ay nakabili din ako na may ngiti sa aking mga labi.

Finally met the master, halos hindi ako makapanilwala na amidst my tight deadline, ay nagkaroon ako ng oras para makaharap siya, this is it, this is HIM, though frail looking he is mightily sharp witted, boy, will i ever reach his pinnacle?siguro hinde...

Nakipagkamay ako sa aknya at sinabi ko lang na isa akong tagahanga, not telling him na i'm one of the meandering illustrators who work at marvel...any who...

We watched the jonah hex holywood movie plus a brief docu on Tony's life, galing...so much inspiration talaga.

When its time to get his autograph, nakipila ako and someone spotted me, its Harvey! one of the most gifted artist in the biz, hardworking at ang galing nitong batang ito. Likewise met Allanguilan and other officionados ...

When its my turn, Tony was laughing about me riding a banca, horse and bus just to get here, he enjoyed our brief chat and gave me some inspiring words and those sought after autograph, realizing that i'm working at marvel and handling a hot character like deadpool , he blurted out that standard komiks illustrator that i missed for a while...ha? nasa marvel ka at hawak mo deadpool? anak ng $#%@% matindi ka pala...

Hindi naman sir TOny..marami pang mas magagaling at bata pa, ako, matanda na at sinuwerte pang makapasok sa inaasam asam kong propesyon...

Hindi na ako nagpaalam sa kanya kasi maraming tao at baka mahuli pa ako sa last call ng banca and anyway, i don't want to say goodbye, i always want to say hello.....

Hope this will be a good year for my family sana maganda and kalalabasan ng lahat and hopefully maging maigi ang mga proyekto ko para na rin sa aking minamahal na pamilya.

TAKING A BREAK

Just finished DEADPOOL issue 30 and 31 written by Daniel Way, now after a brief timeout, i didn't waste time to produce thie 3 1/6 scale figures which are now auctioned at ebay...hope some one will but them......

BELLA DONNA

Sometimes, i take my wife to a BINGO parlor (i'm only human no?) , and we usually ends up with an emptier pockets but still happy and thankful for that family day we always do (hey, the kids naman are in netopia )

But sometimes, a million to one , you will encounter an icon , just like any other soul who wants to hit the jackpot.

Waaaay back as i can recal, i really dig this woman, though always an antagonist, i really love her. Those tight fitting dress she used to wear and missile guided fronts that makes you think whats inside...those were the wonder years....

Though loosing the game, i set aside my hopefulness in winning and started to doodle her face in one of those bingo cards, "without my eyeglasses". I draw her as a youthful woman who graces thousands of times in our black and white radiowealth t.v. and mustered enough courage to go to her table and asked for her autograph ...

I introduced myself to her and asked the ultimate question.....c-can i have your autograph?

You can see that she is frail, her hands were trembling as she signs my illo .She was old and grey, but all i can see was the same woman in my younger years...iconic and a far cry from the stars of today, truly my angelina jolie.

May you have more birthdays to come my beloved....my Bella Flores.

Just got back from GHG office to deliver Martha (stewart) Vineyard map, almost half the size of a standard plywood (lamang loob din yun while waiting for deadpool script) .Met the head Koala and talk about everything reg comics....before i left, Koala gave me this awesome item that any fanboy could dream of, i have one like this since early 80's but this just one made my day aside from having an original art from whatever...why? look.....
