Long Before Padaka ang the boxing mayor of Davao, there was this smalll woman who graced the heavily arm infested area of Salcedo Eastern Samar, for those who were helped by her generosity or merely serving as a beacon of hope, please do think of her once in a while and pray for her soul...
Its her birthday today, HAPPY BIRTHDAY NANAY!!!!! naks nasa BLOG kana ngayon...ano? diri...diri lapwas....ikaw na, DA BEST KA!!!!
MUA TSUP TSUP!!!
Mana Merced, I called her. She was
ReplyDeleteindeed a "Fighter". It is sad that she is no longer around because the implementation of Eco Tourism and livelihood Programs today could be more effective. I remember her realizing my suggestion of constructing the Road along the Beaches in preparation for Tourists.
Meeting her personally in Borongan, she told me that the Road along Hagnaya and identification of Salcedo
Tourist Spots are already there. I
told her that the next are Tourist
Accommodations, then I will help promote. Requesting her about the
pavement of the Road leading to
Cagaut and Maliwaliw Island (Leyte Gulf side, she said that the request
has been continously made but this was
under the jurisdiction of the E.S.
Governor. I learned later that the
Gov. had personal Misunderstandings with her. It is a pity that she is not
around. I thought that, how can the
development of a place lie on politics?
This is at the expense of the poor
Barangays Residents. Then chances for better livelihood is sacrificed and goes also to the Chances of the Youth for better Education. The govt. Funds
that could have been availed for Salceco, were channeled instead to other LGUs of the Phil.
May God bless her.
All of us do Auraphil...all of us do...miss her
